Executive Director of Footprints to Recovery in Colorado, Hunter Kennedy, Psy.D., LPC-S sits down with Fox31 News to talk about the concerns of fentanyl. Kennedy explains that fentanyl is a manufactured synthetic opioid and that it’s cheap and inexpensive to create. In respects to the problem, Kennedy says, “It’s huge nationwide.” Please watch the entire interview to learn more about this growing problem,

The problem with it is that it’s now being cut into normal cocaine and heroin and all these other drugs…and it’s like 50 to 100 times more powerful than heroin or morphine.

So the problem is that as it’s being cut in you can’t dilute it, you don’t know how much and so people are overdosing.

Of 70,000 overdose deaths, half of them are from fentanyl
