Lauren Tropiano

Lauren Tropiano began her career in the field of behavioral health in 2015 as the Communication Specialist, Registrar & Intake Specialist at Carrier Clinic in Belle Mead, NJ. She joined Footprints to Recovery in 2019 as a Clinical Therapist and in 2021, became the Clinical Supervisor. In May of 2023, she was named Clinical Director of Mental Health for Footprints to Recovery’s mental health treatment program in Hamilton, NJ. Her main responsibilities include overseeing the development and function of the mental health program, creating the curriculum and schedule, and supervising team members.

Her certifications include Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), and National Certified Counselor (NCC). She is also trained in EMDR, NET, and Brainspotting.

She graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Department of Psychology and Counseling in 2017 with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She also worked as a Graduate Assistant at the university. Her prior experience in the field of mental health includes her time as Case Manager II/Float for Richard Hall Community Mental Health Center, Mental Health Counselor at New Horizon Treatment Services, and as a Private Practice Therapist at K.S. Therapy and Consultation.

Lauren found that her own experiences with the value of therapy drove her to give back and help others with a desire to heal. Watching her clients experience personal growth in recovery is the most rewarding aspect of her work. In her spare time, Lauren enjoys spending time with her family, baking, cooking, and doing anything outdoors like camping and hiking.
