Samantha Johnson, LCPC, CADC, serves as the clinical director at Footprints to Recovery’s Elgin treatment program in Illinois. With over ten years of experience in behavioral health, Samantha brings a wealth of expertise and dedication to her role. Having initially joined Footprints to Recovery in 2022 as the Director of Inpatient Services, she now oversees both our inpatient and outpatient clinical teams. As clinical director, Samantha provides leadership through staff supervision, training, and the development of robust clinical programs, ensuring exceptional care for clients.
In 2017, Samantha graduated from Lewis University with a master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Addiction Studies. She is also a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC).
Throughout her time working in the behavioral health field, Samantha has worked with youth with developmental disabilities; women with eating disorders, trauma, and co-occurring disorders; and adults with substance use disorders.
Samantha utilizes her expertise to fight the stigma of substance use disorders through education and providing support to not only those who struggle with drug and alcohol use, but their families as well. Building connections with people who feel they have lost all hope is what she finds most rewarding about this work.
