What to Bring to Treatment at Footprints to Recovery
At Footprints to Recovery, our treatment programs seek to foster the most productive, safe, and positive environment for clients to recover in. To do so, we ask that all clients adhere to some simple rules regarding what to bring to treatment.
Yes: You Can Bring
Upon entering treatment, we encourage you to bring the following items:
- Current medications
- License / Identification
- Insurance information
- Closed toed shoes for activities
If residing in a rehab facility and/or recovery home, you can bring items such as:
- Enough clothes for 7 days
- New & sealed toiletries – toothbrush, toothpaste, hair brush, shampoo, etc.
If choosing to bring the following items, they will be secured in a locked area during inpatient treatment:
- Mobile phone and/or any device with internet access*
- Automobile keys (if car is being kept on property)
- Link card
*This is during clinical hours. If you’re residing in a recovery home, you’ll receive earned mobile phone/internet access once reaching a certain stage in your treatment.
No: Leave At Home
If residing in a rehab facility and/or recovery home, please do not bring:
- Weapons or items that pose a danger to self or others
- Medications that don’t match the name and/or information on the label
- Materials that could be used to restrain someone or constrict blood flow, including tourniquets/ “tie offs” or ropes and cables.
- Aerosol products Alcohol or products containing alcohol
- Illegal narcotics &/or drug paraphernalia
- Erotic toys or pornography (including magazines, videos, photos of naked significant others, etc.)
- Money exceeding $20, credit, debit or gift cards
- Personal bedding (due to infection control issues)
- Valuables*
