How to Pay for Rehab with Humana Insurance

Two options are available when deciding how to pay for treatment at Footprints to Recovery. Paying out of pocket for the cost of rehab is always the first. If you can afford it, paying out of pocket for rehab prevents having to rely on anyone else to support you through the process. This type of payment allows automatic admittance into our facilities at Footprints to Recovery.

On the other hand, the second type of payment is going through your insurance plan to cover some of the costs. Depending on your insurance company, your policy may be able to cover most of. Or cover the entirety of the costs of your treatments here at our facilities.

Addiction disorders are nothing to downplay, and neither are the costs of treatment for them. Although it can be stressful even thinking about how to pay for rehab, we believe there is no price to your health and wellbeing.

We also understand that not everyone will be able to afford thousands of dollars of treatment by paying on their own, so we want to help you receive every ounce of help you can possibly get.

If you believe you or someone you know may be suffering from some type of addiction disorder, our specialists are available to answer your questions. They can help you find the best possible solution to paying for treatment.

How to Choose the Right Facility for You

Choosing the right treatment center for your addiction disorder is a very important part of the recovery process. If you find a treatment facility you think you would be interested in, you need to research as much as you can about types of treatments offered there as well as their success stories that have come out of their treatments.

You also want to find a center that is close enough to your loved ones, so they are able to visit you during your treatments. By doing this, you set yourself up to find the best fit for your needs.

Our three Footprints to Recovery facilities are located in ColoradoIllinois, and New Jersey. By having multiple treatment centers, we are able to cater to many different areas within the U.S. We also offer many different therapies and levels of care to attract as many potential patients as possible. By having a variety of therapies and locations, we hope to help as many individuals with addiction disorders as we can.

Humana Insurance Information

Humana was originally founded as a nursing home operator in 1961. Since then, the Louisville company has expanded to offer insurance plans to more than 13 million members nationwide. In 2008, the company was named one of the top five “Most Admired Healthcare Companies” by Forbes Magazine. The company is made up of more than 45,000 employees, and it strives to make healthcare more affordable to all demographics.

Additional Humana Benefits

Humana encourages its members to get healthier and become more active through a program they’ve created called Go365. By attending community events, scheduling annual wellness appointments, and participating in verified workouts, policyholders can earn rewards if they sign into their Go365 accounts. These rewards can earn them gift cards to their favorite stores and companies and ultimately ends up saving them money through their Humana plan.

What’s the Difference Between Using an In-Network and an Out-of-Network Policy for Addiction Treatment?

Knowing the difference between in-network and out-of-network companies will allow you to save as much money as possible during your stay at Footprints to Recovery.

In-network insurance companies are those that we have partnered with to offer even more coverage than you would receive if you only went through the insurance company.

Out-of-network companies are ones that we still accept the policies, but we do not have current partnership discounts. We encourage holding a policy with one of our in-network companies like Humana so that you can receive the most financial assistance with your addiction and mental health treatments.

We understand the importance of knowing the exact amount you may have to pay out of pocket for your treatments. Upon inquiring about insurance coverage information, our staff at Footprints to Recovery will review your current Humana policy. You may be entitled to a large amount if not full coverage of your rehab through your policy, and we know this could be the deciding factor of whether or not you attend treatment at one of our facilities.

Outpatient Rehab

Reviewing Your Insurance Policy for Addiction Treatment

More people than ever are able to afford insurance to cover the medical costs of mental health and substance abuse treatments. Our team at Footprints to Recovery can work with your Humana representative to determine what types of treatments will be covered under your current policy.

At Footprints to Recovery, an independent review of your Humana coverage will determine:

  • Which treatment programs you will be eligible to receive funding for
  • The length of time that will be covered
  • If the level of care (inpatient or outpatient) will be covered

Once we review your Humana policy, we will be able to help you pay the least amount of money from your own pocket for your treatment. We understand how vital this is to health as well as your financial future.

Coverage for Substance Abuse Treatment

There are many costs that go along with your substance abuse treatments. Depending on the level of care you need, the medication you will be prescribed, and the length of time you will spend within our facilities, the amount of treatment can add up. This is why it’s important to find an insurance company that will offer the highest level of coverage for your time at rehab.

The coverage you receive for your substance abuse treatment will be determined by the type of Humana policy you are subscribed. Typically, Humana policyholders are eligible for a large amount of coverage for addiction treatments, especially with in-network providers. Because Footprints to Recovery is in-network with Humana, you can expect your policy to cover a good portion, if not all, of the costs of your treatments.

Medical Detox Coverage Options

Medical detox is the gradual removal of the abused substance from the addict’s body. We offer 24/7 care in our medical detox program here at Footprint to Recovery because we know how difficult the withdrawal process can be. Depending on the severity of the addiction, one of our patients may be facing detox.

Detox can take anywhere between a couple of days to a couple of weeks. This is why it’s important to consult with your Humana representative. You should find out what type of coverage you may receive for the cost of the detox. Because it is an in-network company, coverage for this treatment will be much cheaper than if you were paying out of pocket.

Inpatient and Outpatient Treatment Coverage Through Humana

Once you have decided Footprints to Recovery is where you would like to attend treatment, our specialists will evaluate your physical and mental state. Depending on the level of care, we believe you need to make a full recovery; we will recommend either our inpatient or outpatient method of treatment.

The difference between our inpatient and outpatient treatments will be the level of care you receive and the length of time you stay. Inpatient treatment is a more intense form where our staff administers the treatment methods 24/7.

Outpatient treatment is meant for those with less severe cases of addiction that want to maintain a normal schedule while going through therapy. Whether you choose to be enrolled in our inpatient or outpatient treatments, we will work closely with your Humana representative to ensure you are granted the most amount of coverage possible.

Fentanyl Addiction and Treatment Options

Mental Disorder and Dual-Diagnosis Treatment Coverage

A common reason for the development of an addiction disorder is a preexisting mental disorder that was not treated. When we evaluate potential patients at Footprints to Recovery, our specialists know that testing mental health is essential to determining what types of treatments will be needed for the best chance at a full recovery. If a mental disorder like anxiety, depression, bipolar, etc. is found, patients will be placed within our dual-diagnosis program to treat both disorders at the same time.

Our staff encourages you to take this into consideration while looking into your possible options. Because you will be attending both programs at once, the cost of treatment can increase. Depending on which Humana policy you have chosen, the coverage available will be determined once our specialists talk with your Humana representative.
