Courtney Potempa, PA, is the Physician Assistant at Footprints to Recovery’s addiction treatment center in Elgin, Illinois. She first started working with Footprints to Recovery through our outpatient treatment center in Arlington Heights as a part-time Physician Assistant. Now she works for Footprints to Recovery’s addiction treatment center in Elgin, Illinois, as the lead medical provider.
In her role, Courtney provides substance abuse and psychiatric services for Footprints in Illinois. She extends her expertise to Aliya Health Group’s addiction and mental health treatment centers in NJ, CO, CA, IL, and OK, as well, operating as our Chief Medical Officer’s right-hand woman.
Courtney Potempa received her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Rosalind Franklin University. She worked in psychiatry for a year after graduating from PA school, then did 15 years in orthopedic surgery, and has been in psychiatry and substance use for the past 7 years.
