Each year, Footprints to Recovery’s “Socks of Love” holiday campaign makes a big impact in the Denver community. Fox 31 Denver covered our organization’s efforts to collect and donate socks to those experiencing homelessness.
At Footprints to Recovery, we understand that a pair of socks can make a world of difference for someone living on the streets. Not only do clean and warm socks provide comfort, but they also prevent foot injuries and infections that are common among those without proper footwear.
The “Socks of Love” donation drive is organized by Footprints to Recovery as a way to give back during the holiday season. The organization reached out to their employees, clients, and local communities to gather donations of new socks.
In 2019, we are proud to state that our donation provided the Samaritan House with over 200+ socks.
In this video, Fox 31 Denver covers Footprints to Recovery’s 2019 Socks of Love donation drive. The news coverage highlights the fact that a pair of socks can make a world of difference to a homeless person. It illustrates the impact of our efforts at Footprints to Recovery through the first big sock donation as part of our ‘socks of love’ holiday campaign.
